People just shouldn’t know too much about where they’re headed.
Your pretty, angst-ridden face, Rachel Nichols. You do pensive so well.

Bomb Girls & Its Perfect Parallels
I am sure someone has probably noticed this before, but since it is so perfect, I think it begs repeating. First screencap is when Betty realizes Kate is making her feel something beyond friendship (FEEEEELINGS!!!!) and the second screencap is just after she admits those feelings. Also, notice that in the first cap, the place is bright and full of life behind Betty and in the second, it is lifeless and empty. Hopeful and heartbroken in the hallway of the boarding house.
Oh, Kate, you are totally looking at Betty’s lips in the second gif.

Betty: Whatever you’re running from … you’re safe here now. I’ll make sure. (1x01)

Betty: Please, Kate, don’t leave. I love you. (1x06)
Sit back and get yourself a drink because this is going to be a meta-post. HALLWAY PARALLELS! When Betty tells Kate that she is safe in that first episode, the small smile she gives after Betty says that indicates that Kate, whether she knows it or not, is drawn to Betty just as much as Betty is drawn to Kate… in a completely romantic way. She is moved by Betty’s gallant declaration of protection. No one - besides her mother - has ever cared about her this much.
In the season finale, when Betty confesses her love, Kate’s face again betrays her feelings. Her face in the last gif isn’t someone who is disgusted by the confession, but someone who doesn’t quite know how to express what she is feeling. Her heart wants to yell “I LOVE YOU TOO”, but every other instinct and society and, you know, her dad who is standing right there, is counteracting this and she just can’t say it, even though I am sure she is feeling it too.
— So does anyone else think that Betty kissing Kate was the first time Kate has been kissed in a romantic way ever? Unless, she said something to contrary during the series and I wasn’t playing attention.
— As much as I think Ali Liebert owns the last scene in every way, shape and form, I have to say that Charlotte Hegele was also amazing. She lost her “Kate” glow and was just a shell. The light in her eyes that had been there all season was gone.
— As much as the ending tore my heart out, I think it would have rang completely false (for now) if Kate didn’t have this exact reaction to Betty’s kiss. Society, her upbringing and just about everything else in life is “telling” her that this is wrong and she just isn’t strong enough (yet) to fight that.
— MY HEART. MY CREYS. MY SOUL IS DYING.
Kate: This might have been the most fun I’ve ever had. Thank you.
Betty: Next time, maybe just you and me.
— Bomb Girls
Kate: You don’t need everyone liking you, just the ones who matter.

Urgh, Kate, stop looking at Betty like you are in love with her because Betty is already in love with you and you are so going to break her heart by marrying a man, aren’t you? STOP IT. Betty, you are awesome. Don’t change. Now, make out.
