The original bickering romantic comedy duo. If Beatrice were plucked from this play and placed in a romantic comedy in 2011 with all her character attributes and sensibilities in tact, she wouldn’t be out of place. In fact, she would probably be hailed as modern. On a sidenote, it sucks that these two people got divorced. They had really nice on-screen chemistry.
